TORCH RELAY COMING TO BATTALION 14
The 2005 Fallen Firefighters Memorial Torch Relay will be coming to Battalion 14 the week of September 4, 2005. This is a great event with a goal of raising funds for our Fallen Firefighters Memorial which will be displayed in front of the LAFD Fire Museum at old Fire Station 27 in Hollywood.
The most important item to note is that we will host the relay on September 11. It is imperative that we give an all out effort to fairly represent all of our fallen members and specifically honor all those who made the ultimate sacrafice on 9/11.
For those members wishing to volunteer to assist with planning the event please contact Firefighter Jason Teter here at Fire Station 60 "B" Platoon. Your assistance and/or suggestions are welcome as we would like to make this a group effort. Our goal is to have at least one member of each station in the Battalion to be part of the planning group.
