MDC UPGRADE: 9/27 through 10/4
The Information Technology Agency (ITA) is upgrading the LAFD's Mobile Data Communications (MDC) system. Once completed, this upgrade will increase the bandwidth and speed of the MDC system.
The upgrade, which takes 30 to 45 minutes, will take place at Fire Station 88. Individual units will be NAV (Reason 31) for a 1-1/2 hour period to account for travel time. Overlap is built into the schedule. Frontline companies shall be staffed.
