Battalion 14 has been in the grips of a cold snap for almost a week now. RA's are responding on many slip-and-falls involving ice that is forming in the early morning hours. Please be careful as you render care...remember how your patient got in his/her position. Icy sidewalks and lawns are remaining frosty well into late morning, especially if they are shaded.

The same goes when driving...black ice is all over the place. When responding on TA's, consider why there has been an accident. Place your apparatus in a safe area away from the ice. Also consider giving yourself additional defensible driving space. Stay safe!
